چکیده

Assessment plays an important role in the distance-learning research. Generally, the process of instruction completed with the assessment that be used to evaluate learners’ learning efficiency, skill and knowledge. With the evaluation of assessment results, instructor can judge learners’ learning efficiency and ability; students also can find out whether they acquire the learning material completely or partially. AJAX is novel technology using in rich-client web application recently, it uses an asynchronous communication way and provides a better using experience to users. Thus, we propose an on-line adaptive testing system which provides the QTI standardized item and adaptive assessment mechanism. The system integrates the Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) Version 2.0 proposed by IMS Global Learning Consortium and Item Response Theory (IRT). The purpose of this research is to construct an adaptive, reusable and sharable assessment system. Key-Words: Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), Item Response Theory (IRT), IMS Question and Test Interoperability (QTI), AJAX.

A QTI Metamodel

Question & Test Interoperability specification (QTI) provides a good starting point for modeling and designing assessment systems. This paper presents a metamodel for developing a QTI-based assessment system using the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) standard. The main reason for applying the MDA standard in development of assessment systems is to make a clear difference between conceptual and c...

Assessment Delivery Engine for QTIv2 Tests

The IMS Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) standard has not had a great takeup in part due to the lack of tools. In the 2006 JISC Capital, three Assessment projects were commissioned: item authoring, item banking, and QTI-compliant test delivery. This paper describes the ̳ASDEL‘ test delivery engine, focusing upon its architecture, its relation to the item authoring and item banking servi...

An Assessment Framework for eLearning in the Semantic Web

In this paper we present a flexible assessment framework for eLearning based on semantic web technologies. The assessment techniques are formalized as reasoning rules. These rules are able to reason over resources annotated with semantic web metadata formats and according to the standards LOM and IMS QTI. The framework is tested using TRIPLE, a rule-based language for the semantic web.

A Domain-specific Modeling Approach to the Development of Online Peer Assessment

Modelling a peer assessment using IMS LD and IMS QTI is difficult for average practitioners. In this paper, we apply domain-specific modelling technologies to develop a peer assessment modelling language, in which notations are directly chosen from the concepts and rules used to describe peer assessment. Thus, practitioners can easily understand such a high-level language and use it to specify ...
